BRENDA SIA

It was the year of 1998. Brenda was watching television with her mum in their bedroom and an advert for a piano popped up on the television screen.

Brenda recalls her 4-year old self feeling unexplainably drawn to the advert. This feeling prompted Brenda to point at the piano shown on the advert and ask her mum to let her learn the piano.

And that, was how Brenda started her musical journey.

Brenda started learning the piano from the age of 4 and completed her Grade 8 examinations in practical piano from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) at the age of 14.

Prior to establishing My Little Piano School, Brenda taught at one of Perth's biggest music schools for 4 years before working in a boutique law firm as a junior solicitor.

Despite working long hours in the corporate field, Brenda continued teaching music on her weekends.

Working in two vastly different fields has helped Brenda realise that her interest and passion lies in teaching music and this was the driving force behind her decision to leave the corporate world and establish her very own little piano school.

Brenda teaches classical and contemporary music (with a keen interest for pop music and movie and/or animation soundtracks) and teaches students from beginner level.
